- Kitty Stew
For this dish you will need some low sodium V8 juice(1 cup), some beef broth, 1 package not canned, (I tend to use Walmart Great Value with way less sodium than the other brands), some frozen or canned vegetables (Several cups per lb of meat), some clearance meat like chuck steak or something yummy. I cook a lb. or two in the dish. Place all of the ingredients into a large crock pot and fill up with water, depending on the amount you wish to make. Adding more liquid to it will help, if you can use it up in a week or so. This dish tends to last longer than a week. I cook mine for several hours, depending usually on the meat cooking up.
I store mine in the fridge in some flat containers to save space and just add some to my blender when I am ready to feed it to the cats. I mix mine with rice 50/50 before blending.
The ideal consistency is medium thick to runny mush. Pets love it as a side dish to other menu items.
