Making a can of cat food extra special 6/27/08 I have developed some techniques for making a can of cat food better, and more palatable for cats. You have to remember that canned cat food often contains rendered animal remains(yes even dead cats and dogs) and other various preservatives and chemicals. To each small can of cat food I add one or all of the following Coral calcium, 1 capsule Luxolite, 1 teaspoon. Lithothamnium, 1 capsule Water, 1 tbsp Oil, either corn, mineral, fish oil, flaxseed oil. Rice, 1 spoonful per can (adds bulk, solidifies stools, gives cat energy) When I am feeding several cats, I tend to mix up the rice with the assorted additives and then add the moistened enriched rice to the cat food. It is easier and more balanced in my opinion.
